Viktor was born and raised on Bainbridge Island. He first started writing ghost stories in the library at Blakely elementary school with his best friend during recess, until their teachers, thinking that maybe the kids needed some vitamin D, forced them outside to play. Needless to say, the kids kept up their storytelling in the shadow of a cedar tree.

Viktor found early success editing and publishing translated books, but has now shifted his focus to poetry and prose full time. His stories generally bend around the speculative fiction, hardboiled crime, horror, satire and LGBTQIA+ genres, but he’s not afraid of writing spicy romance on occasion.

Viktor received his Bachelor’s in English at Central Washington University and two of his poems were nominated for the AWP Emerging Authors Award in 2026.

In addition to writing his own prose and poetry, Viktor offers line editing and developmental editing services. He also tutors children and adults. Whether you want to learn how to write a short story, a poem, or learn the basics of grammar. Viktor can help. Shoot him an email below.

He’s currently raising his kids like 90s kids (free-range). You can often find him wandering the many beautiful trails on the island. He is also an advocate for affordable housing as a member of the Board of Directors for Housing Resources Bainbridge.
